Popcorn Diet: Successful Or Unsuccessful?

September 22, 2010

There is a lot of confusion concerning diets around North America. One minute we are told that low carb, high fat, high protein diets are best, while the next we hear that high carbohydrate, low fat diets are the ticket to weight loss. However, there is no real secret diet that will work for everyone, and it is important to pick a diet that works well with your likes and lifestyle. In this article we will review a fad diet that was presented to consumers a couple of years back; the popcorn diet. By now, everyone should know that fad diets fail to work because they are short term, unrealistic, and usually starvation diets that encourage our bodies to pack on the fat after we go off of them. There are some good aspects of the popcorn diet though, which includes snacking all day on air-popped popping corn. Popcorn is very high in dietary fiber which is key for losing weight because of it s ability to make out stomachs feel fuller for longer without the added calories. Travel: Filmmuseum Potsdam Babelsburg

August 14, 2010

During the Cold War, Potsdam was the Hollywood of the DDR the Deutsches Demokratisches Republik , and Babelsburg was the name of the studio at which all the films were produced. Now, however, it s a museum within an hour s journey from Berlin. Potsdam is easily accessible via S-bahn, and the museum is within walking distance of the Potsdam Hauptbahnhof the main train station in Potsdam . The museum has a very modest entrance fee, but once inside, you are treated to all kinds of movie memorabilia. Those who have visited the museum prior to 2005 will remember that not the entire museum at the was translated into English, but enough of it was visual so that a visitor who spoke no German could still enjoy it. The permanent exhibit is both intellectual and fun in that it deals with the politics of the 20th century and how it influenced film production. Even if one has zero interest in politics, the various film props and costumes are of interest. The exhibit is pleasingly interactive, but not overwhelmingly so: there are touch...

June 8, 2010

Are you thinking that you need to send some type of ezine or newsletter to your customers and clients, but are afraid that you don t have the time or the content to publish one on an ongoing basis. If that s the case, you may want to consider one of the below alternatives. They will help you stay in touch with your clients, capture email addresses on your website and establish your credibility without requiring you to come up with new content each week. The first two alternatives require an autoresponder service. I love KickStartCart which includes unlimited autoresponders and a F REE 30-day trial. AWeber is another autoresponder service with an excellent reputation. What is an autoresponder. Wikipedia defines autoresponder as a computer program that automatically answers e- mail sent to it. They can be very simple or quite complex. An autoresponder automatically sends an email out when someone requests it or signs up for your list. February 24, 2010

When Brent Surman, coach of the Shetland Padres Pony League team of Murrieta, Calif., received his end-of-season gift from his team, he was touched. Instead of a gift certificate or a plaque, the team made a donation in Coach Surman 8217;s name to Coaches Curing Kids Cancer to help fund pediatric cancer research. I was so moved by their gesture, said Coach Surman. The players demonstrated exactly the type of values I try to teach. I can t think of a better gift to receive from my team. In return for the donation, the coach received a t-shirt and a personalized certificate from Coaches Curing Kids Cancer. Coaches Curing Kids 8217; Cancer was inspired by the life of Killian Owen, a nine-year-old from Atlanta who battled leukemia for three and a half years. During that time, Killian still managed to participate in baseball, swimming and basketball. It was Killian 8217;s can do attitude that inspired a local coach to donate his end-of-season gift to Children s Healthcare of Atlanta 8211; where Killian received treatment 8211; in...
